Introducing Blue (Yellow Lab) and Kahlua (? Week Chocolate Lab)

Hello everyone. I joined about a week ago and thought I would introduce my boys. Blue is an almost two year old (February!) yellow lab and Kahlua was recently rescued from a pretty bad breeder and we were told he was born approximately the 29th. I have been formula feeding him trying to get his weight up as he was all worms and had no fat when we got him. They are both amazing dogs and Kahlua will be in training to be a PSD. Anyways on to the pictures! (Also if anyone had suggestions for his registered name using his nickname "Kahlua" let me know!)

Thank you! Blue is the best behaved two year old lab I have seen and Kahlua is my lifesaver! I got him right after a loss in my life so we have been helping each other

Welcome and so many thanks for rescuing little Kahlua. Poor little thing would have died from the worms. Naming is fun isn't it? We named our Sophie: Cheyley's Cafe au Lait Sophia. Chey from her mom Cheyenne, ley from her dad Harley, and Cafe au Lait for the chocolate coffee color, and we just liked Sophia. Maybe you could put something Hawaiian sounding or something indicating where you're from. Speaking of which, hello Portland, Myrtle Creek here!! There are some others that post often from Oregon. One from Gresham...

Yes, if I knew how bad off he actually was I would've taken all of them. Luckily I was able to get in touch with a friend and a friend of hers got the rest of the litter. I love naming, took me forever to find his name! Hmmm that is a good idea, just having a hard time coming up with something that goes along with Kahlua. Well hello! I didn't realize that there were more Oregon residents! Labs and Oregon just go together

Kahlua is an Aztec name. Also there are several mixed drinks that contain Kahlua: Angel's kiss, Apache, Bit-o-honey, Cocamocha, Rolston Special, Smooth Brown Beauty, A Gunner, and Tiger's Milk just to name a few....you could use it with the Kahlua, or even just use it as a call name and use the mixed drink in the name...lots and lots of fun choices!
