New from Old Lyme Ct 9yr old male Lab diagnosed with jaw osteosarcoma, bone cancer

New here and looking for support and advice on the cancer my lab was diagnosed with yesterday. He has osteosarcoma (bone cancer) of the jaw. It is high grade. Today we will see the vet and discuss the future.
I would love some encouragement.

We have a member on this forum: kassabella if you contact her she can help you. Her Kassa had bone cancer of the jaw. I am so sorry your boy has this, please contact kassa she can help.

I am so sorry. I replied to your message. Check my siggy and the BCD organistation for some info in the mean time. Please ask any questions and no question is dumb.

Most of all don't give up hope. As I said..I was going to fight until the fat lady sings, and Kassy and I fought like heck. Post in Lab chat as the thoughts and prayers help.

Jen I am thinking of you and a little worried as you haven't come back. I know this is devestating. When Kassa was diagnosed no one knew much. Not even the vets who said she would be dead in a month...Noo...No... I can't give up..I can't... I couldn't find anyone who had been there, or knew anything about bone cancer. It is a devestating hole with so many questions, guilts, should I have seen it earlier, why me,,why my dog... We all go through those horrible thoughts, then what is the best thing to do. There is no right or wrong decision.

I haven't checked the BCD, but if I am not here please go there. We are also on f.b. so if you need anything someone is there for you.

You are not alone, so any time you need someone we are there for you.

We are doing fine. On Monday we see an oncologist.
