    Hi there! I have been stalking these boards for weeks and I can now say 'I am a lab owner'!!

    We don't pick up the little guy until Oct 25th. I have been looking forward to this day for years. Our lives just now have become conducive to having a puppy and it has been a LOOOONG wait. By sheer luck I am off work the week I bring my new friend home too, so it will give me extra time to bond with him.

    He doesn't have a name yet, I am leaning toward Finnegan but my daughter doesn't know we are bring home a dog (super surprise) so I will let her have some say in it.

    Wish me luck and please pass on ANY advice.

    Welcome. He is adorable and whatever name you choose he will soon be a very important part of your family. We now have our second lab and I can tell you that if we had had one sooner there would have been at least one more lab in our past. They absolutely fill your heart. We got our Jack at 10 weeks and I have taken so many photos of him that it is a standing joke with family and friends. I too am Canadian.
