I tried to do this weeks ago and it did not work, so here is try #2
Maverick was a rescue that was only days away from being euthanized in a high kill shelter, a private animal rescue group rescued Maverick his litter mates and his momma (a small black lab only 55lbs and barely a year old!). The only thing that we have heard about his father is that he was a family pet (lab) that was not neutered and allowed to roam the neighborhood which I find sooo irresponsible. Anyways I adopted him at 7 weeks and he has been my baby ever sinceHe will be turning 5months old tomorrow and he is just a tall gangly pup right now at 21inches tall and 36lbs (maybe he is a mix, anyone else have a 5month old under 40lbs? doesnt matter love him just the same!!)
Here he is 7 weeks old....
And now...

Welcome to the forum!
Sharon - still not a dude.
My pup was about 40 lbs at 5 months (44 lbs at 5.5 months yesterday). She's stocky...not what we'd call gangly at all though. I keep expecting the all legs stage at any point...

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

Sophie is 16.5 weeks and 34lbs...She will be 4 months on the 13th. I was told that labs "rule of thumb" is 2 lbs a week. A little more for males. You have a handsome guy there tho!
