Hi all-
I went and got our new lab a few days ago. She's 12 weeks and smart as can be. She is retrieving some, I've been doing like 3-5 throws and she brings them back but seems to lose interest after those (normal?). Her name is Mallie and I'll post pics soon.
congrats! Pics are a must!

She's 12 weeks...of course she's going to lose interest quickly. Toss the toy a few times and end on a good note. Treat and go on to something else.
Congrats! Cant wait to see pics

Congrats on your chocolate puppy. A young puppy will lose interest because there is so much other stuff to do. Bauer is 3, and he loves to fetch but he likes to change up the fetch toy every few throws. He will catch a frisbee a few times, then he gets his Jolly Ball and fetches that a few times, then gets a tennis ball and fetches that, then a different color Jolly Ball, then a different frisbee. By the time we are done he has fetched 70+ times, and all of his toys are out of his outdoor toy box.![]()
