Cadi's pheasant "hunt"
Cadi is a dog I have in for "basic gun dog" training. I have had her for about 1 1/2 months and she goes home at the first of the year. When I started with Cadi, she chased tennis balls, but would not pick up a bird, would not deliver to hand (unless you grabbed her as she went by) wouldn't pick up a bumper, had not been exposed to gunfire...she is 10 months old
This was Cadi the other day. Her second day of exposure to a live bird. (no birds were harmed in this exercise)
The quarry: A 5 month old mixed heritage Amherst/Reeves pheasant.
Get him Cadi!
