Gator the Blind Retriever

Gator is a 9 year old Lab that has been hunting with me since I was 14 years old. This year he was diagnosed with SARDS(Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) the day before duck season opened. Gator lost all his vision so we thought his hunting days were over. Little did we know, he still had the desire to hunt. Every morning when I left to go hunting he would cry at the door. A few weeks ago I decided to bring him hunting to see how he would react. That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Gator has some drive that's for sure, I'm sure he's been a great hunting partner all of these years.
