Upland hunting day (3 pics)

We won an upland hunting/training day at our licensed test in August. We went this past Sunday. It was so much fun. The dogs loved it. They had live pheasants & chukars. I am just teaching Kate to quarter a field & she has not learned sit to the flush yet, but she did well for her first time.

Abby is the seasoned hunter. She had a ball. You can see her eyes are all cut up from last week when she was pheasant hunting.


Molly is retired, she went just for fun. She enjoyed just walking in the field.

Nice!!!!! My girls would have a ball. I know a couple who'd have beat up faces too (in fact one does currently!).

Meekah goes this Saterday for her first outing into the upland game arena, lets just hope my aim is better than in past years!!! I can't hit nothing with a scattergun

montoya- good luck. i didn't shoot. They all would have flown away. My SU & another man from our lab club did the shooting. lol

Anne - I always feel bad when I see Abby's eyes but that girl is relentless, she will go in the thickest cover after those birds. You are right, they love it, don't they?
