I have had my chocolate lab, Paisley, since she was 7 weeks old and she is now 4 months old. She sits, stays, basic commands very well. We play with the frisbee, go to the dog park, and go for walks all the time. She does one or more of these things every single day!!! I love her to death, she is my very best friend and she gets so excited to see me; however, she is biting like crazy. Not always aggressively but there are times in which she snarls and nips. She has caused bleeding and some scars. I have a kong toy for her in which I fill with peanut butter and mushed bananas. We freeze this sometimes as well. I have been firm and told her "no bite" while shutting her mouth with my hands. I have given her a chew toy to distract her attention from my ankles and hands, but none of this is working. We are also in Puppy Kindergarten at Petsmart and they keep telling me the same thing and the same thing is not working! Please someone give me some advice or tell me when it is going to stop!

I am rather freaked out about having someone cut on my eye, but it's either that or not being able to see. My vision has gone downhill at a fast clip lately. Has any one had this done and can give me some infor. Also I have having the Toric lenses put in which means I may not have to wear my glasses anymore. I've been wearing them since second grade so that wil be a real change for me.

Murphy goes to the beach three times a week to swim with his buddies and dog walker. On the days that he doesn't go I take him to the dog park which has a gravel base with some areas of rocks. I noticed Murphy limping yesterday and was concerned it was his surgically repaired knee. After a thorough look over I found that two of his pads were split / cracked and one of his button pads was also bleeding at the bottom. I immediately cleaned the areas and sprayed them with an antibacterial spray for dogs. In addition I bought a jar of bag balm and have started to coat his pads in hopes to help them heal. He is a big boy (just over 100lbs) but not overweight and is still young (will turn 3 in June) so he is full of energy.

Does anyone have any more advice? I want to make sure I help him heal quickly so he can go back to his normal exercise and fun park routine. But also I want to prevent it from happening in the future. I thought about trying those booties that can hold gauze with an antibiotic but I know he will just rip the off. Lilacs bloomed ~ gorgeous this year!!! So, all my house plants went back out to the deck. I even planted my garden. Mostly seeds, but oh yes, the plants, too. Guess what? You know it. Lost all my wonderful houseplants. Some I've had for 10 years + , the Peace Lily who is absolutely beautiful, budding, and from my Mom's funeral 5 years ago. All gone. The garden plants are really no big deal. $20 and a little work and they'll be replaced. But my houseplants all have a special place in my heart. The local weather forcasted 40 low. They missed it. Tonight I was in the bedroom and he started barking to get onto the bed. I tried to coax him on the sofa first, but no. He can do it so I gave up. He kept up the barking.

Then Tessa climbed on it and got onto the bed. Then she got off, then on and off again twice more. I thought she is showing him how to do it. Wow this is so cool. So I told her to get off the bed and patted the sofa. She climbed onto it, then the bed, then went down again.

My Ma Brown pretends she isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I think really she is smarter than she pretends.
