A weekend like no other...O-M-G!!!!

We had a terrific weekend at the HDLRC specialty shows...and I didn't think it could get any better until today!

Yesterday, Monty took a JAM (after loping around the ring his first time back in the show ring since he finished at LRCSC in April, LOL...the booger!) under judge Mr. Roger Orton (Omega). He sure got some nice hard looks, in spite of his "gaiting antics."

AND, two of the puppies from his very first litter took 2nd in their sweeps classes, and then won their quite competitive 6-9 month (NICE!) puppy bitch and dog classes!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the boy puppy went Best Puppy In Specialty Show!!!

BUT....there's more....

Today, the puppies did great again (the boy won his 6-9 month puppy class, making a nice showing in the WD class, and his littermate/brother took 4th in the same 6-9 class against some fantastic competition)!

And Monty went on to take BOB under Mr. Michael Woods (Waterdog) to become
BISS Ch. Forestwood Gone Hollywood At Montview, WC
(Ch. Shadowbrook's Just Ducky X Ch. Forestwood's Purple Rain)
...only a couple weeks after earning his first JH leg!
He then earned his first qualifying leg in Rally-Novice with 2nd place and a score of 93!!!

To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

This dog just never ceases to amaze me...and he kept everyone ringside entertained during the class with his goofy antics...talking to me, grabbing my pant legs in his mouth, poking his head between my legs...you name it. LOL

Monty won a beautiful rosette, HUGE trophy, a beautiful large wooden chest embellished with glass mosaic labradors, and was presented with a beautiful loving cup from Mr. Bae, President of the Korean Retriever Owners Club (KROC)!

That is fantastic Julie! I can't imagine how proud you must be right now, I nearly burst with pride when Dan took Open Yellow at a Specialty. Winners Dog or BISS is nothing but a dream for me right now.

Way to go Monty!! You are a great boy!!
