Just a quick reminder to any/all who may be interested in attending the upcoming 5th and 6th annual High Desert Labrador Retriever Club Specialty Shows on Saturday November 8th and Sunday November 9th, 2008.

Entries close at 6pm on 10/22, so less than 2 wks away!

Conformation -- Dr. Michael J. Woods (Waterdog) and Roger Orton (Omega)
Sweepstakes -- Dian Welle (Blue Knight) and Marlynne Durham (Shahli)
Junior Showmanship -- Roger Orton
Obedience and Rally -- Robert Margolis

These shows are bound to be some of the best yet, with added attractions to help put the "special" back in "specialty." This club prides itself on hospitality- from "freebies" given away as you enter the grounds to free breakfast and lunch, and goodies in the evening. The raffle is going to be amazing, too!

This year, there is another added feature:
A "Heart Dog Parade" on Saturday during the coffee/dessert hour following BOB:

So, get those entries sent in, or if you're just coming as a spectator, make your reservations soon!

You know you're always welcome, Peggy- for this one or any of the others in California. I try to get to most of them, though I missed SVLRC and am going to miss GGLRC in another 2 weeks in order to try some JH tests instead...most of the time for HDLRC, my friend Dawn and I end up bringing a big BBQ and staying in her (VERY comfortable) toy-hauler trailer for the weekend. We'd love to have you join us either there or at my house (where we could drive back and forth each way!
