So, Karen, how did it go?
Melissa...how is the new baby doing?
Congratulations, Darcy!!! Wow... I'm very impressed!
Sherry- best of luck at the shows this weekend!
So far, so good on our end...Rogue has continued his streak with points every weekend we've shown since we got back from vacation Memorial Day weekend (all owner-handled... me!)! He is currently up to 8 points with 1 major since then. We have a little local show coming up that is traditionally very hot (we're only showing Sunday since I work Saturdays at Guide Dogs of America), and I have little hope for anything there... but you never know! Then, we have a cluster at the end of August, SVLRC and the supported entry shows early September, GGLRC and supported entries in October (the weekend after Matt and I get married, LOL), and HDLRC in November. Nothing else planned besides those. Hopefully Rogue grows some coat back for the specialties... he still looks like he has quite a bit, but has retained coat up front (like a lion's mane) and lost his "pantaloons" in the rear which I think makes him look unbalanced. Ah well, hasn't seemed to have hurt him too much in the show ring so far, thankfully.
Monty, on the other hand, hasn't had much coat all summer. If he grows something back, I'll probably enter him in the Hunting Retriever classes at the specialty shows. If not, he'll remain retired for a while... probably going bird hunting when the season starts again. Specialties allow dogs to show in veterans at 7 years, right? That means I may be able to enter him next (2012) October and November in GGLRC and HDLRC!He loves to show, so I'm sure he'd really enjoy getting back in the ring again.

I'm really looking forward to showing Ruby as a veteran this September, where does time go?
New puppy is apparently phenomenal! I pick her up on Saturday and I'm over the moon in love with her already!
