I have an opportunity to get away for a few days. I'm interested in getting a new puppy, and want to see other labs out there. Is this a place for a novice to look around? It is a 5hr drive, and don't want to be heading that way, if I will be in way over my head. Thoughts?

You will not find a place to see sooo many quality dogs in one place at one time. It will be overwhelming but only 5 hours?? I say go for it and buy a catalog if you can get one. Take pictures and notes on which dogs you like. You will have plenty of time later to sort through your notes and see which dogs you like best and contact the people. Don't rush there is plenty of time to find a pup. This will be an education that might actually become an obsession..lmao
Have fun, I wish I was going this year.
I am looking forward to it. I figured I would get a catalog, and bring my highlighter and a notebook. Leaving my furbaby and 3 children home with my husband. So a mini vacation. What can be more fun than that!!!! I'm sure I will have plenty of questions when I return.![]()
Have fun Shannon! I would love to go one year!!

LOL, to people who show dogs, 5 hours is a walk in the park.
