Ok, here is the yellow pup with lines drawn to help the eye.
The front angles do not match the rear angles. She's high in the shoulder. Her back should be a straight line. Her croup should not drop. The hock bone should be straight up and down. She's sickle hocked so they are shaped like a sickle.
Now compare that to the black puppy
The angles front and rear are exact. Her back is straight. Her hock bone is perpendicular to the ground. This bitch was a fantastic mover and put together wonderfully. Her major fault was she was undersized at about 20 inches. She still finished quickly in Canada and did okay in the States under breeder judges.

Good way to show comparisons. Granted, the pup could actually fair better in reality, but until it's stacked properly we'll never know.
I thought the owner was supposed to have lots of handling experience, so I am surprised that we haven't seen a better stacked photo.

That *really* helps to illustrate what to look for, for newbies such as myself.

I agree to a point Jen.
The puppy is sickle hocked. Even a pup well stacked out is still sickle hocked.
See my Gin Gin, granted she grew out of it. So it is possible that she may as well. But notice as sickle hocked as she was, she was still balanced, and held up her topline.
I can't find the picture of Quinn at 7 weeks. I must have deleted it. She was near perfectly stacked in that one.

Just for an opportunity to educate, here'sMaddie at 7 weeks. I've always been taught that the front of the rear foot if a line is drawn upwards should hit the butt bone LOL

That's right, Melissa.
